STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

SCHOLARSHIP
PROGRAM

#BREAKINGBARRIERS

Girls selected for their grit & leadership get a $2000 scholarship over a period of 2 years, whose usage the recipients exercise their authority to decide on. This usually varies across self-sponsoring education fees or sports training, or managing nutritional or medical needs for self & family - particularly critical through COVID. KickOff Solutions stays engaged with them for 5-8 years till they become financially independent however, connecting quarterly and offering 21st century skill development and career mentoring support as pass out of school and get through college. Lastly, once the girls start running changemaker projects, Chromebooks are provided to enabling easy access information and communication facilities.

SUPPORTING
GIRL COACHES

With guidance from eminent sports coaches, KickOff Solutions is piloting a transformative initiative in partnership with the Gopichand Foundation and Playquity, which involves a three-year seed capital to help establish girl-coach led rural sports academies for girls & boys. We're excited about the early learnings & success in Mahabubnagar, Telangana and Chabua, Assam with girls who emerged from our scholarship program to start building sports ecosystems out of nothing, and a see this as a step towards cultivating community influencers & role models through girl coaches who can challenge discriminatory norms that prevent girls from playing.

Currently, we're piloting a transformative initiative, launched in January 2022, in partnership with the Hyderabad-based Gopichand Foundation. This involves a three-year scholarship to establish a girl-coach led academy in Mahabubnagar's Theegalaveni village, a step forward in empowering young talent and nurturing future leaders in sports.
